6. In-door lunch season. Parents - the season of in-door lunches is upon us. Cold weather does not prevent the kids from going out, but rain, sleet, snow or ice does. The season unfortunately lasts a while so a few tips for the cold season. 1. Encourage them to bring a book, or a deck of cards or a small game (no electronic games). The kids who have games with them (UNO, mini-chess, cards, other types of small games), are always the happiest as they are in-doors but having fun. Even in the auditorium, kids are playing cards and other games. So, keep it in mind. 2. Please have them dress for cold weather. I can't tell you how many kids try to come to school or go outside in the freezing cold, in a thin sweatshirt. 3. Incredibly lovely scarves, hats, gloves, parka coats, sweatshirts, etc., are already piling up like one couldn't believe. Please encourage your children who are missing a sweatshirt, coat, hat, scarf, to check out the Lost and Found multiple times. Items tend to find their way to the L&F after several days or weeks. So, please encourage them to return. I am constantly out of space and hangers, as the multitude of items are ever coming in from the yard, gym, changing rooms, etc.
